【DeepCT】How to save ICH Patients using AI within Golden Hour

Intracranial Hemorrhage – bleeding between the brain tissue and skull or within the brain tissue itself – can cause brain damage and be life-threatening. Some symptoms include headache; nausea and vomiting; or sudden tingling, weakness, numbness or paralysis of face, arm or leg. Despite the poor prognosis of these patients overall, there is some evidence to suggest that early aggressive medical management within the Golden hour may improve outcomes.

The reason the first hour is golden is that stroke patients have a much greater chance of surviving and avoiding long-term brain damage.

Imsight has collaborated with Deep01 Limited to introduce DeepCT to the market. DeepCT utilizes the latest artificial intelligence to help improve the emergency medical examination process to automatically detect bleeding to alert suspected cases to diversion effects and significantly improve existing workflows. Enabling patients to get medical treatment quickly and improving the quality of medical treatment.

▲ Structured report identifying the location of the hemorrhage.

DeepCT has provided great assistance to all parties. For patients, DeepCT can enable patients to receive medical treatment faster, reduce paralysis and mortality, and improve prognosis. For hospitals, it can accelerate the emergency process, allowing patients to leave the emergency unit earlier, and increase the turnover rate of emergency beds. For physicians, DeepCT provides a second opinion, reducing the chance of missed diagnosis and reducing physician anxiety.

The value of AI’s introduction in emergency ICH patients lies in the feasibility and effectiveness of actively notifying the identification results and providing emergency/paranormal/radiologist immediate examination of CT images for early diagnosis to shorten the treatment time of patients.
